1st European Distributor Meeting
Held
Isuzu Motors Europe Ltd. (ISZE) held Isuzu's
first pan-European N Series distributor meeting late last September
in Paris, France.
Representatives of nine Isuzu distributors in France, Greece, Italy,
the Netherlands, Spain, the UK and the Scandinavian region gathered
at the meeting for frank exchanges on how to strengthen sales.
Personnel from ISZE and Isuzu Motors' Europe Engineering
Liaison Office joined the meeting and took part in discussions on
topics such as sales techniques, after-sales strategies, spare parts
business and local parts development.
The participants judged the meeting to be a great
success. All agreed that joint efforts and maximized sharing of
knowhow enables them to work closer together to increase sales.
The meeting coincided with the Paris Motor show,
wich is the largest automotive exhibition not only in Europe, but
now throughout the world as a result of attracting more than 1.43
million visitors in 2000.
Isuzu France organized two stands at the show, one
for the Trooper and the other for the N Series. Japanese Ambassador
to France Kazuo Ogura attended the event and spent time visiting
with Isuzu France Managing Director Bruno Haas.
