Ida Named New President of Isuzu
Yoshinori Ida became the new president and
chief operating officer of Isuzu Motors Limited on December 14.
Ida, 57, had been serving as a managing director
in charge of domestic sales, engineering, General Motors (GM) affairs
and portfolio integration. He replaces Takeshi Inoh, who became
vice chairman and director in charge of customer satisfaction.
Speaking at a news conference in Tokyo on December
12, Ida said he will vigorously pursue the company's current business
plan, which he helped to create.
Ida also stated that he intends to further strengthen
Isuzu's ties with GM through a variety of ongoing global projects,
including worldwide purchasing.
Kazuhira Seki continues to serve as Isuzu's chairman
and chief executive officer.
