If only the tires could speak...

Tires play an important role in various characteristics from road holding capability to fuel consumption of your Champion Isuzu.

The tires that provide the contact between your vehicle and road affect many functions from road holding capability to fuel consumption.

The correct pressure is the most important factor that prevents premature wear and extends the service life of the tires. In addition, the life of your tires will extend if the loading is performed in a well-balanced way, excessive speeds and overloading are abstained, tires of correct size and type are used, tires are rotated regularly and checked frequently against abnormal wear and foreign materials, wheels and front mechanism alignments are not omitted.

Unlike many other components of your vehicle, the tires are located at an easily accessible place and therefore, it is very easy to control them. As can be seen in the pictures, the form of wearing of the tire treads may tell you many things:

If only the tires could speak...

1. Excessive wear in center tread indicates over inflation of the tire.

2. Excessive wear on shoulders signals under inflation of the tire.

3. Any disregarded small cuts on the treads break off due to excessive speeds and cause the tire to go flat unexpectedly.

4. Uneven tread wear indicates poor wheel alignment.

5. Excessive wear on one side of the tire signals incorrect camber angle.

6. If the treads wear as shown in the picture, possibly there is a failure in the suspension system.

7. Flat wear patterns concentrated on one section indicates sudden braking.

8. If the treads on the outer section became knobby, it signals problems with the toe-in value.

If a foreign substance is trapped between twin tires, first of all both tires should be deflated and then the trapped substance should be removed.

In cases of excessive vibration or if the vehicle pulls to one side while driving, the vehicle should immediately be checked by an expert and the wheel and front mechanism alignments as well as the pressures of the tires should be checked.

If a cut is to be repaired on the tire, this should be done immediately and performed by an expert.

When the remaining tread depth is below 2 mm, we recommend that you change your tires to ensure safe vehicle operation.

Please pay careful attention to your tires and tread on the ground firmly!
