Eser, mentioning that in the 20 years, 100 thousand vehicles were sold including the imports, said; “As a result, we achieved 2 billion dollars of turnover and 150 million dollars of foreign currency input and we paid billions of Liras in taxes. Our target is to achieve what we realized in the last 20 years in the upcoming 5 years with a 4 times greater speed”. Eser explained the vision of Anadolu Isuzu as “becoming an international company which not only exports, but also establishes partnerships abroad and provides to these companies the know-how, the technical personnel and the component support”.
Anadolu Group Chief Executive Tuncay Özilhan who spoke after Eser, declared that Anadolu Isuzu is of very special importance, being the first strategic partnership of the group. Özilhan, stated that in the 20 year history of Anadolu Isuzu, firstly going to the public was realized as one of the main strategies for the institutionalization of the Anadolu Group, and said; “Then, with an investment of 50 million dollars, we founded our factory possessing all the advantages of high technology. Our Şekerpınar factory where we came together today is providing very important contributions in increasing the quality of the Champion Isuzus and in broadening the product range. Anadolu Isuzu is rapidly advancing towards a model company in the automotive industry with its production facilities, employees, product range, dealer organization within the country and abroad”. Özilhan said that the development in the automotive sector may be realized through a taxation system that is as per EU averages, and emphasized their expectations to this effect.
Isuzu Motors President Yoshinori Ida who visited Turkey for the first time on the occasion of the 20th anniversary celebrations of Anadolu Isuzu, stated that Turkey was and would continue to be a very important market for Isuzu.
Next in the ceremony, the 80.000th vehicle came off the production line. The symbolic key belonging to the 80.000th vehicle, an NPR truck was given to the Prime Minister Erdoğan by the Anadolu Group Chief Executive, Tuncay Özilhan, and the President of Isuzu Motors, Yoshinori Ida. The ceremony ended after the address of thanks made by Prime Minister Erdoğan.
The 80.000th vehicle of Anadolu Isuzu NPR Truck, was presented as a gift to Prime Minister Erdoğan.
