"Ideal Solutions For Medium Haul Transportation"
Anadolu Isuzu Automotive Industry & Trading Co. is one of the leading medium-size
coach manufacturing companies in Europe whose major shareholders are the Anadolu
Group from Turkey, and Isuzu Motors and Itochu Co. from Japan. Its main
fields of operation are the production and marketing of light duty trucks
and midibuses. Since the establishment of the company in 1984, more than 80.000
vehicles have been manufactured in accordance with the Isuzu Motors license
agreement. Anadolu Isuzu is the first Turco-Japanese joint venture in the
automotive sector.
The experience and know-how of Anadolu Isuzu dates
back to the Çelik Montaj, which was established in 1965 to build
pick-ups and motorcycles. The company continued to produce Skoda
pickups until the end of 1986. In 1984 the company started to produce
Isuzu vehicles in Istanbul Kartal Plants.
In 1999 Anadolu Isuzu has moved to the new Gebze
Şekerpınar facilities, in the city of Kocaeli. The new facilities
were established over a land of 230.000 m2 where the company employs
nearly 750 people. The facilities include two separate plants for
truck and bus manufacturing. The Midibus Manufacturing Plant alone
covers an area of 21.750 m2 and has a production capacity of 4000
midibuses per year. The total capacity of the Sekerpinar facilities
is 13000 vehicles per annum.
Perhaps the most important contribution Anadolu
Isuzu has made to the automotive sector in its region is the Company's
emphasis on customer satisfaction. Since it was first established,
Anadolu Isuzu has persistently stressed the priniciple of achieving
the maximum quality in production, sales and after-sales services.
Being a company which is producing vehicles with the license of
a world-class Japanese brand in the European region, Anadolu Isuzu
sets its production processes according both to the world’s famous
Japanese quality management systems and the European Union’s quality
standards and regulations. The inevitable result is the products
manufactured at global quality standards:
In 1995, the Company began full implementation
of Total Quality Management and introduced the ISO-9002 quality
assurance system in 1996. Anadolu Isuzu received the ISO- 9002
Quality Certificate in 1998. In 2003 the company is awarded ISO
9001:2000 Quality Certificate (by TÜV). Last but not the least,
in 2005 Anadolu Isuzu was awarded ISO 14001 Certificate (by BVQI),
which verifies the efficient application of the Environmental Management
System in the company. The company has all EC Motor Vehicle Type
Approval Certificates, as well as the Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis
(German National Vehicle Type Approval) Certificate for its products
in the European market. The products of the company are also subject
to UVMV roll-over test. Anadolu Isuzu is an important member of
the Kal-Der, which is one of the most prestigious Quality Associations
in the Euroasian region.
